Cuckoo for coconuts
A good thing
Not only do coconuts grow in beautiful places but they actually do beautiful things as well! Not many people know the many benefits of coconut oil for the skin but there are many! Let us take a look at some of these benefits.

Usually when we think of saturated fats good things don't come to mind but when it comes to coconut oil you should really think twice. Coconut oil contains triglycerides aka medium fatty acids called Lauric, Caprylic, and Capric that keep the skin smooth and soft to the touch. These triglycerides make it possible for coconut oil to retain moisture in the skin for extended periods of time. They also eliminate moisture loss through the pores of your skin. Lauric, Caprylic, and Capric acids are also known to have strong disinfectant and antimicrobial properties that could aid in protecting the skin from infections. In addition to these great benefits the list gets broader. Coconut oil also contains Vitamin E which is known to soothe eczema, psoriasis, sunburn, and helps in treating bug bites. Protein isn't just essential for a balanced diet it also promotes the replacement of damaged skin cells. Luckily, protein is another amazing thing found in coconut oil!
Well...
Now that you know more about this miracle let me give you my personal testimony. Coconut oil has worked wonders on my super sensitive, often dry/combination skin! I found coconut oil to be a great addition to my daily regimen but there were a few downsides... Dun, dun, dun... It was too oily by itself and too much oil can actually do more harm than good causing even more breakouts. Being that it was so oily it also caused me to stain multiple pieces of clothing. *Sigh* In addition to that walking around all day smelling like coconuts wasn't exactly what I had in mind as a means to stay moisturized. Luckily, by creating this line I was able to bypass my only 3 complaints about this remarkable ingredient.
